RICHMOND, IN – YMCA of Richmond, in partnership with Dementia Friends Indiana and LifeStream Services, will host a Memory Café on the second Friday of the month beginning February 12 from 10:00am to 11:00am at their location at 1215 S. J St. Richmond, IN 47374.

People living with dementia and their caregivers are invited to participate in health and wellness education, enjoy light exercise, or take a walk around the gym. The activity is free of charge and a membership is not required to attend. The YMCA of Richmond follows Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety and precautions including mask wearing, social distancing, and proper hand washing hygiene.

Memory Cafés are a welcoming safe place for people with dementia and their caregivers to enjoy activities and a break from their normal routine. Additionally, it is an opportunity to socialize and connect with others who are in a similar situation.

LifeStream is East Central Indiana’s Dementia Friends Administrator.
