LifeStream Services is proud to announce their partnership with A Better Way in Muncie to provide Telecare services through which A Better Way makes daily calls to older, disabled, or homebound adults. These calls can include safety checks, medication reminders, or social calls and offer a friendly voice to help brighten a clients’ days, as well as comfort for them and their loved ones in knowing that someone is checking on them.

The partnership between A Better Way, whose mission is to reduce domestic abuse, sexual assault, suicide and homelessness through service, shelter, crisis intervention and prevention initiatives, and LifeStream, ECI’s Area Agency on Aging, will allow Telecare coverage to expand to include daily phone service, 7 days a week, 10 hours per day, throughout the counties of Delaware, Blackford, Fayette, Henry, Jay, Randolph, Union, and Wayne.

It will also allow LifeStream to refer individuals to A Better Way who may benefit from the Telecare service, as well as referrals into LifeStream for additional home- and community-based services for individuals already participating in the Telecare program.

“Keeping older adults and individuals safe at home and in their communities is a key component of LifeStream’s mission, and we applaud A Better Way’s dedication to serving this population through their Telecare program. By partnering, both agencies will be able to reach more individuals and assist with this important goal of independence and safety at home for older adults and individuals with disabilities,” explained LifeStream’s VP of Programs, Mandy Williams.
