MUNCIE, IN – The Forest Park Senior Safety Net food distribution normally held on the fourth Thursday of the month will be rescheduled in November and December due to the holidays that fall on the normal distribution day. The Senior Safety Net food distribution is in partnership with LifeStream Services and Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana. The program provides assorted food for older adults in need and is currently being held in a drive-thru format for the health and safety of the community.
The Forest Park Senior Safety Net food distribution is located at 2517 W. 8th St. Muncie, IN 47302, and is held from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, or until supplies last. The November distribution will be held on Wednesday, November 25 and the December distribution will be held on Wednesday, December 23.
The program offers easy access locations for those who are 60 years of age or older to receive nutritious food. An ID, proof of residence or need are not required. Attendees should go through the line just one time so the distribution is able to serve everyone.
