Individuals who have a fear of falling often feel trapped. They pass on opportunities to go out with family or friends and cut down on activities they enjoy because they are concerned about the fall risk. LifeStream is now offering A Matter of Balance to help reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults.
Participants learn to set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and learn simple exercises to increase strength and balance. A Matter of Balance is an evidence based wellness class with proven results to help participants live a better quality of life.
