Strong social connections can boost mental health, combat loneliness, and improve physical well-being. There are a number of ways to stay socially connected throughout the season, and LifeStream is here to help.
LifeStream Nutrition Services are a great resource for getting the proper nutrients this winter as well as staying connected. Our community meal sites offer friendly conversation alongside a meal. LifeStream has 21 cafe locations throughout East Central Indiana — find one near you here.
Wellness classes are another great way to incorporate physical health with social health. LifeStream’s Wellness Programs promoting falls prevention, better sleep habits, and more, in a group setting. Another great option for social connection is LifeStream’s Volunteer Program. Social connection can come from either being a volunteer or by utilizing our volunteer services. LifeStream offers a Volunteer Concierge Program, a volunteer initiative in which individuals are matched with an older adult in need of a friendly visit or task assistance such as housekeeping, meal prep, light yard work, or companionship.
