LifeStream Services invites the community to support seniors and people with disabilities by donating on November 28 in celebration of Giving Tuesday, a nationwide annual campaign encouraging individuals to donate to nonprofit organizations on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. There are a number of ways to support LifeStream this year.
LifeStream is partnering with local nonprofits for the first annual Thanks for Giving event to benefit Muncie and Delaware County nonprofits on Tuesday, November 28 from 3:30pm to 6pm at the Madjax Public Hall located at 515 E. Main St., Muncie, IN 47305. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at give.class.org/thanksforgiving. Participants can designate LifeStream as the beneficiary of the ticket purchase with 50 percent going back to LifeStream to support their mission.
This event is not only an opportunity to give back to local nonprofits, but also a way to celebrate, network, and learn more about the nonprofit community in Muncie and Delaware County. Entertainment at the event includes two free beer samples provided by The Guardian Brewing Company, pours and tours of Guardian Brewing Company’s new facility located in Madjax, and music by Cliff Ritchey.
For those unable to attend the event, LifeStream will also be accepting donations online and by mail on Giving Tuesday. Proceeds help support LifeStream programs and services including in-home care management, transportation, senior meal delivery, senior cafes, caregiver support, and much more to help seniors and people with disabilities remain in their homes. Donations can be made online by visiting www.lifestreaminc.org/support/donate/ or by mailing a check/cash to LifeStream Services: 1701 Pilgrim Blvd., Yorktown, IN 47396.
Thanks for Giving is organized by The Facing Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Muncie with a mission of connecting people through stories to strengthen communities. You can learn more about their work at: www.facingproject.com/.
