LifeStream Services and Area Agencies on Aging throughout Indiana will celebrate National Nutrition Awareness Week March 13 through March 17.
It is LifeStream’s mission to improve the quality of life for people at risk of losing their independence. A large part of maintaining a healthy quality of life is being aware of the nutritional value of food.
LifeStream has 14 senior café sites located throughout East Central Indiana. The senior cafes provide a nutritious meal to area seniors on a donation basis. Each meal that is served at a LifeStream Senior Café is reviewed by a registered dietician, ensuring that seniors in East Central Indiana receive the nutritional value they need to live a healthy life.
LifeStream is celebrating Nutrition Awareness Week at each café site with educational materials, informational placemats, nutrition activities, and a proclamation from Governor Holcomb. It is LifeStream’s goal to encourage better eating habits and healthy living to seniors in East Central Indiana during this special week of celebration.
